Ben-Gvir, Smotrich lash out over Gaza military withdrawal

“If the prime minister decides to end the war without a large-scale offensive in Rafah to defeat Hamas, he will not have a mandate to continue serving,” said Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

This is insane. WHO would have imagined on 10/7 that six months later, Hamas would still exist, and the IDF would be withdrawing without achieving the primary goal of destroying Hamas and the secondary goal of reestablishing deterrence. Ben Gvir and Smotrich are right. If this stands, Netanyahu must go. I am much more concerned though that Israel let it get to this stage.
