1995 show by surf rock legends in Hermosa Beach brought to life on new album

‘Legends of Surf Guitar’ is a long-lost recording of a star-studded show at the Lighthouse Cafe 30 years ago.

I wasn’t at this show, but I was at a similar show at the SM Pier. The surf (and blues) scene was huge in the 90s. Sadly, there have been no similar music revivals since - because today’s millennial/Gen Z driven music scene has no connection, AT ALL, to the past. We did - it was all old music already when we were in our 20s, and you can also add the swing revival to that list.

Side note: I was taught how to do the intro to “Pipeline” by Brian Carman - also in the 90s!
